a few of my favorite (italian) things

what I’ve grown to love and will miss the most
yes, those are patatine fritte

Clockwise from top left

Castelli Milano leather-bound journal

To know me is to know my need for a fresh lined, hard cover journal at all times.

L’Angelica Detox Tea

A gentle weekly reset blend of milk thistle (cardo mariano), mint (menta) and licorice (liquirizia).

VBC Ceramica espresso cup and saucer

The hours of 2:00pm - 3:00pm would not be complete without these.

VBC Ceramica olio picolina bowls

As see in various mis en place moments in my kitchen and charcuterie boards.

Olive wood nesting bowls

Also as seen in mis en place and charcuterie moments, and make lovely little salt boats on the table setting.

Il Fondente dark chocolate

I do not need to explain why this is here.

Acqua della Rose tonico rinfrescante

I fell in love with this gentle toner while I was pregnant and nothing calmed my hormonal skin down. A soft floral scent, leaves the most sensitive skin so soft and can be used all over the body.

San Carlo patatine fritte antica ricetta

I didn’t move to Italy with the objective of finding the perfect potato chip, but I did and here they are. I do not share.

Amelia silk chiffon wrap dress

Never have I experienced women more in love with dressing so feminine as Italy. A wardrobe here is not complete without the perfect midi length dress light enough to catch air in the breeze.

VBC Ceramica floral soap dish

This one is actually a part of my daughter’s 16th birthday present. While traveling I like to collect little trinkets for her (there is a gold locket with a white dove in the pink sachet from Florence), and this soap dish will be one of her treasures someday.

Nesti Dante fig and almond milk soap

Not for washing, this gorgeous soap lives in your lingerie drawer. Wink wink.

Boutique Nadine Firenze cameo necklace

My favorite little treasure from my favorite little boutique in Florence, Boutique Nadine. If you’re in Florence and near Ponte Vecchio, you have to stop in to appreciate their local handmade jewelry like this cameo, Italian made clothing and beautiful vintage collection in the back. A dream!

Nesti Dante lavender and verbena soap

Again people, not for washing. This one goes in the Italian hosiery drawer…

Florentine tea towls

Also picked up near Ponte Vecchio in Florence, I have a couple treasured tea towels that I love and you may recognize. A field of sunflowers, grapevines and the traditional Firenze L’ape (bee) all on blue and white cotton. They make me happy.
